About Us
Big
Brothers Big Sisters of North Central West Virginia has been
serving children since 1983. The agency first started as Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksburg and did not change to its
current name until Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morgantown merged
with the office in the mid-1990s. Our service area now includes

Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to providing children with
positive caring adult mentors. Through these professionally

of every ethnic, racial, national, cultural and religious groups

to further enrich their lives. In fulfilling this purpose, we seek
and accept volunteers possessing the highest levels of stability,
honesty, integrity, and unassailable ethical and moral standards.
Our services are not limited to just those children in
single-parent families. As long as there is an identified need, we
make every effort to work with all families. Examples include foster
children and children living with relatives grandparents.
and
“By becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, you can be the person
who brings magic into the life of a child.”
“Our work is as elementary as putting an adult in a child’s
life, and as essential as putting hope into a child’s
future."
