About Us
Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Central West Virginia has been serving children since 1983. The agency first started as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksburg and did not change to its current name until Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morgantown merged with the office in the mid-1990s. Our service area now includes Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston and Upshur counties in West Virginia.
 

Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to providing children with positive caring adult mentors. Through these professionally managed one-to-one relationships, children are able to build lasting friendships that enhance their emotional, social and recreational well-being.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Central West Virginia is an established charitable 501 (c) (3) organization. Funding comes from various sources including, but not limited to the following:

• United Way of Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia and Preston and Upshur counties

• Fund-raising events

• Solicitation of individuals, businesses and corporations

• Grants (government, non-government and private foundations)
